The library catalog contains physical items owned by the VSC libraries, such as books and eBooks, audiovisual materials, and resources such as maps, government documents, and other nonprint items. Use the library catalog to find books on your topic, search for availability of specific journals, locate audiovisual media owned by VSC, and other similar searches. When you search the catalog you are searching only a record with basic information about that item—not the contents of the item itself.
If you have questions about how to use the catalog or what it contains, please don't hesitate to contact us!
1. Keep in mind the online catalog searches item descriptions; it does not search the full text.
2. You can search by subject, title, author, call number, ISBN, or keyword
3. Put search term(s) in the box and search.
4.Get a better list: if you have more than 50 results, apply limiters and revise your search terms, then search again. In particular, you may want to limit your search to one Library.
For more information on how to find relevant, high-quality sources, see "Scholarly Sources".
Did you find an item that is not owned by the VSC libraries?
NVU students, faculty, and staff members may request items through interlibrary loan and we will locate the item from another lender for you.
